About us
About Potters Residential Care Assisted Living Homes
Our residential care home offers a peaceful and comfortable place to live for individuals aged 35 years and older. This alternative setting for receiving assisted living services enables us to promote our residents’ independence while addressing their need for assistance with their activities of daily living.
Our home makes a great substitute for traditional assisted living facilities. We do not simply care for our residents — we genuinely care about them. Your loved one will feel like they are part of the family; however, they will also be given the choice for solitude when desired. We offer an ideal balance of privacy and community.
At Potters Residential Care, you will find an open-door policy to friends and family, professional support, a warm environment, and friendly staff. Our team includes Registered Nurses, Personal Care Assistants, and a Certified Assisted Living Manager. Their main focus is to provide every resident with the quality care and attention they deserve. Our staff members have undergone a thorough hiring process, with each one being selected for their skills, knowledge, and dedication.
Story Behind our mission
The Inspiration for Potters Residential Care came about from the experiences our founder, Keziah, went through caring for her aging mother and special needs daughter.
In 1999, Keziah went into labor during her second trimester. This resulted in the premature birth of her second daughter. After 3 months in NICU, she was able to take her beautiful baby girl home. Keziah has had opportunities to place her daughter in assisted living. Had she done this it’s possible her daughter could been placed with a feeding tube, but with her expertise she has been able to create and provide all the necessary nutrition for her daughter. Keziah made it her priority that her daughter was surrounded and cared for by family for 21 years and counting.
In 2005, Mama Mary came to live with Keziah and her family. Throughout those years she cared for her diabetic mother who has endured chronic back pain and high blood pressure. With her medical experience as an RN she was able to provide the necessary care for her mother. However, as the years went on Keziah noticed a decline in her mothers memory. She would forget things such as where her room was or where she kept her belongings.
Keziah knew she was going to need assistance in caring for her mother and daughter but she didn’t want to place them in assisted living.
Keziah has worked the ins and outs of adult care and nursing homes. She knows first hand how isolating they can feel. She wanted her loved ones to experience a healthy family oriented environment.
Potters Residential Care is the embodiment of Keziah’s dream for all individuals
